About Us

At TechCom Plus, we believe in providing reliable, high-quality writing services to our clients. We take pride in our work and in our ability to meet deadlines and complete projects within budget. To learn more about our background and past experience, please read on.

Linda G. Gallagher, manager of TechCom Plus, draws upon her varied background in all she does. She has more than 18 years of experience in the technical communication and related fields. She knows that clear writing, logical task flow, and accessible design make good documentation.

Linda has a BA in Spanish and worked for a year and a half as a paralegal before joining Bell Labs (later Bellcore) in the state regulatory department. She worked for eight years as a manager at Bellcore in the state and federal regulatory departments and managed all aspects of a computer database system during this time. She also worked more than three years managing department computer systems, budgets, and human resource issues at Southwestern Bell.

Linda is an active member of the Society for Technical Communication (STC), a professional association for technical communicators, serving in the following capacities:

Society level—Co-Manager of the Consulting and Independent Contracting (CIC) Special Interest Group (SIG) (2002-present)
Rocky Mountain Chapter—Immediate Past President (2001-2002), President (2000-2001), Vice President (1999-2000), Co-Manager or Manager of the CIC SIG (2002-present, 1998-1999), and Nominating Committee (1997-1998)
St. Louis Chapter—Vice President-Membership (1995-1996) and Secretary/Treasurer (1994-1995).

She is the recipient of several STC awards that you can read about on our Awards and Kudos page.

She is also a member of the Boulder Writers Alliance (BWA) and SIG Computer Human Interaction (CHI).

As needs dictate, Linda partners with colleagues on projects to provide clients with a complete array of services to meet their needs.

We are continuously learning more about document design, writing, usability, and technology, so we can provide the best services to our clients. We attend meetings, seminars, workshops, and conferences regularly to update our skills and knowledge.
